True Gratitude

Suppose you were walking across the street, and were about to be hit by an oncoming car, and someone heroically pushed you to safety, but they were killed as a result, how would you feel toward that individual? Gratitude, deep appreciation, sincere thanks - these words seem inadequate, don't they?

Friend, Jesus Christ, the Son of God died in your place [see Hebrews 2:9]. He was without sin [See Hebrews 4:15; I Peter 2:22; and I John 3:5], but He died for the sins of the whole world [see Romans 5:8; I Corinthians 15:3-4; I Peter 3:18]. He left the glory of heaven, to walk among men for a time that one day the saved can be in heaven - forever. "not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in Heaven," [Matthew 7:21].

Do you love Him for that? Jesus said in John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments." Show your love for Him! Obey Him and live for Him. Jesus is "the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him," [Hebrews 5:9].

Dear reader, if you want to know what Jesus, man's saviour, says we must do to have our sins washed away by His blood [Matthew 26:28; Ephesians 1;7; I Peter 1:18-19] please read John 20:31; 14:1,6; 8:24; Luke 13:3 and 5; Matthew 10:32-33; 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16; Luke 9:23; John 8:12 and 12:48.
