That Settles It!

Maybe you have heard someone say, "God said it. I believe it, and that settles it." as good as that may sound, it does NOT properly reflect the truth.

The psalmist David declared, "For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven...," [Psalms 119:89]. Every time we read the Bible we have access to the "mind of Christ" [see I Corinthians 2:13, 16]. If we refuse to do the will of the Father, Jesus will say in judgment, "I never knew you, depart from me..." [Matthew 7:23].

The true attitude we should have toward the Holy Scriptures should be, God said it. That settles it, whether I believe it or not!"

Do you believe God's Word? For you, does God's word settle all religious matters once and for all? Are you living by the word of God?

Dear reader, please give heed to the words of Jesus: "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day." [John 12:48]
