What Would They Put In Your Hand?

Some time ago an article was written about a woman who had died and her husband requestedthat when she was placed in the casket that she have an open Bible in her hands. The husband explaned that she looked more natural that way. What a godly life she must have lived in order to have been remembered in such a way. This couple had been married 53 years and had five children, with 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. All who were old enough were Christians.
Isn't this evidence enough of the influence of a Bible-reading life? "0 how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day." Psalms 119:97.

Now what if someone put the thing in your hands that seemed most appropriate after you die? What would it be? A cigarette? A beer can? Car keys? TV guide? A fishing rod? A golf club? Think about it. What object would your family pick that would most accurately represent your life?
